Hawkins Landscape Supply

I showed up there and Marina <sp?> was sitting in an un air conditioned office trailer. She greeted me with a smile and I explained what I needed. She walked me out to the piles of soil and explained what each was best for. and the price. I agreed to top soil instead of fill dirt. She jumped on the front-end loader and delicately placed one yard in the bed of my pretty F-150. She then said the secretary (herself, haha) would write up the bill. We went back to the office where she remained very pleasant and handed me my bill. This is the nicest person I have had the pleasure of meeting for quite a while, she is a sweetheart! Hawkin's is fortunate to have such a knowledgeable, capable and nice employee.

This place is conducting credit card fraud. Ordered mulch over the phone. They bill my card and then forget about my order completely. Called them 10 days later, they have no record of my order. I show them my receipt and magically they can see the order. Promise to deliver it next day. Nothing. I call back a week later to cancel. They say they will cancel the order the refund my card, weeks later nothing. And now, they don't pick up any time I call them back. I'm filing a claim with the state of MD against this business. You've been warned. Take your business elsewhere.

NOPE. All efforts to reply to the address on communication could not be delivered when there was a problem. My order of several hundred dollars worth wasn't delivered either, or at least not to my home. Time to reach out to card to dispute. They did manage to SPAM us repeatedly for a review, so here is a truthful one.

Kiln dried firewood. Delivery was on date requested, firewood is excellent (using some today in my woodburner, yes, in APRIL!), full cord amount as ordered, first time ordering, I'm not looking elsewhere. Don't understand the low star review, but I'm 5 stars. Tipped the nice Delivery guy more than usual as I was so pleased with the firewood, and he was so nice.

I have used Hawkins or 2 years now and they are my favorite if you want top notch firewood (on a budget) and dont mind stacking it yourself. They provide easy online ordering with affordable pricing. I order 1/2 a cord for $175.00 which usually last me through the winter. They have great customer service. Their A team will call to verify delivery date and special instructions if any prior to delivery. The heavier oak wood provides slow-burning heat that I love in the winter. The smaller pieces of wood is great for starting the fire. Overall, I recommend this place for its quality of mixed wood, customer service, and price.
